Me too Porter is the best likely candidate to prove Buds worth besides a Spence fight and if Bud can manage to make beating Porter easier than Spence it stages the showdown in a HUGE fashion. I dont see it though Porter is a live dog and tough fight and Arum knows it

I 1000% agree with Bud’s thought process. And both Bud & Spence should clear out the division 1st anyway. Bud should be trying to fight Porter, Thurman, Danny, or Manny and Spence should be targeting Danny, Manny, or Thurman. Let Spence vs Crawford build to Leonard vs Hearns.

It can only be "lose-lose" if you actually feel there's a legitimate chance you will lose. And obviously Crawford has felt that way for a while now, and that's why he resigned with Arum. Crawford has been a phony since he resigned with Arum, which makes absolutely zero sense other than to make less money fighting weaker competition. This is the same guy who wants to fight 40+ year old Pacquiao but worried that people would make excuses for beating Spence?

His resume is one of the weakest in the game, and he shouldn't even be top 10 lb for lb.
