Boxing “fans” act like w bunch of immature cult of personality fans.....but at least out nerds don’t act like that entire fan base does....”I’d just take you down and choke you out bro!....”Do you even grapple bro?”......”it’s a real fight bro!”......”mom, can you make me a smoothie?!”.....

one thing Paulie gets wrong. UFC doesn't need to promote same way as boxing. UFC is the name, not the individual fighter. If Jose Ramirez and Postol fight on a private island, no one would know. With that said, if WWE can get away with Wrestlemania, I don't see how UFC won't be able to do the same.

I always wonder about the UFC. They seem to have everything going for them, near monopolisation of MMA. Successful tv show, sponsorship, successful console games, regular PPVs, franchised gyms, a huge loads of merchandise but they still pay their fighters **** (apart from a handful of top fighters and Conor). So many of the fighters have to have full time jobs still.

In boxing, if you have a decent amateur showing and get to sign with a big promoter like Haymon or Hearn then you can be earning good money right out of the gate.

I like Malignaggi as a commentator, but he's a tard. Even if an island lacked a port, you could do the whole thing with rented boats/ships and run em into the beach with a skiff or a helicopter. You could probably get the vessels and crews for next to nothing right now

For that matter I don't know why one of these big **** players don't rent a cruise ship and do it in intl waters. You put 50 or s hundred people on a ship designed to carry around thousands in comfort with all the necessary facilities and security.

It can't be that hard to do an event on an island. You don't need a hotel you just need a big mansion - to house the fighters in. Those kind of rich people have gyms. Lots of private islands are owned by rich people.

If you've got money you can make anything happen. Press conferences can happen via Skype/Zoom like pretty much every mother media event is doing at the moment

What happens if on fight night am there is a storm and there’s no balance on the ship?
I’ve never been on a cruise ship and I imagine it’s pretty big but it’s still nothing compared to those massive waves.
