Interesting, I'm going to go with Mayweather, but, next time I look at the list I might feel differently.

Jim Jeffries 1895-1905 = Ruhlin x2, Choyinski, Goddard, Jackson, Sharkey x2, Armstrong, Fitzs x2, and Corbett x2. I even think his fighting JJ should be seen to his benefit, or at least, not discrediting like how no one holds Holmes against Ali. Either way, that's in 1910, a while after the decade of Jeffries.

He combined, or beat, the english, aussie, colored, pretense, and true lineal champions in that decade and is the first true world recognized champion without any pretenders to his throne in any region the game is played.

I'm not saying he's better than any decade you've already listed, but, I think he gets a hard rap due to the racism of his era and people forget at one point Jeffries was a God. Apollo in the ring.

I was kind of in two minds...

Going off what I’ve read I was thinking Armstrong or Robinson (40’s). But obviously footage is limited.

In terms of what I’ve actually seen Leonard in the 80’s takes some beating in regard to wins over ATG’s especially considering both Duran and Hearns were in their primes and Hagler had gone undefeated for a decade.

You’re fine picking your own man, they are just the FOTD per Ring Magazine.

              It was a great run...

His only loss in that period he avenged twice too.

I would have to say Pacquiao. Sugar ray Leonard had some brilliant wins but only just averaged over one fight a year in the 80s. Not enough in my opinion. Roy jones was phenomenal in the 90s too but his opponents weren't always top notch. Pacquiao fought quality opposition and he fought often.

Mayweather 2000-2009 is the best decade by far. Sorry Pac fans but you can’t argue this. Manny lost to Morales and Marquez in the 2nd fight. Plus you can argue he should’ve lost to Agapito Sánchez and Marquez in the first fight. Genuine argument can be made that he lost 3/4 times that decade. No way objectively can anyone say that’s better than being 18-0 over 14 world champions and dominating all of them. Only 1-2 of those fights were even competitive and the only guy who made it close (Castillo) got totally shutdown in the rematch. Manny just got given “fighter of the decade” because it’s a popularity contest and there’s a lot of racism that exists in sports. Manny gets my respect for his accomplishments but you can’t tell he had a better run than Floyd. People just don’t like Floyd but let’s be honest. You can’t argue it at all.

Sugar Ray Robinson from 1940-1950 to me is the greatest decade in boxing ever. The man was 129-1 and was knocking out multiple people on a monthly basis. Not to mention he did this over several weight classes. Legendary fighter and he paved the way for the likes of Ali, Leonard and Mayweather who all looked up to him. The documentaries and stories about him are unbelievable and I would recommend them to you guys if you haven’t seen them. A must see for any true hardcore boxing fan.

Yeah Ray lacks depth, cause of his hiatus from 82 to effectively 87 minus the Howard fight. It’s a shame he had the retina issue as he could of potentially fought Pryor, Curry, maybe a Hearns or Benitez rematch.

Roy’s decade probably peaked in 93-94 after beating B-Hop and Toney. He had other good wins over Hill, McCallum, Johnson but yeah overall I agree.
