sorry (not sorry) to bust your bubble but the WBC ordered Whyte to fight ortiz twice In two final eliminators and Whyte refused. And even if wilder did tell Whyte to beat ortiz to get a shot at the title. While wilder was negotiating for undisputed AJ and Hearn told wilder fight Whyte first. Since when does a champion have to fight a bum to get a shot at another champion?Hard for him to become a champion when the governing body colludes with the 'champ' to allow him to duck.
And don't give me any bs about Wilder ordered him to fight Ortiz first. That's not Wilder's call - Wilder needs to fight proper guys.
Sorry, I should say he 'needed' to fight proper guys. It's past tense now because he got his ass whooped and got humiliated and exposed, then made up some fairy tales lol. Guy's a pos.

But back to bum a$$ Whyte, he ducked ortiz twice AJ Breazeale and Pulev ffs this guy Whyte has ducked the most title opportunities in the history of the division!!Comment

Well the was plenty of you AJ hating nonces saying AJ lowballed Whyte and that's a fact.Comment

Offer was high enough for Ruiz to take it. And become rich.
A lot of fighters would fight for free to gain world titles.
Dillian whyte didnt really want the fight, the fraud just loves shouting about it. ***** Whyte knows he gets laid out again, and he will be cradled in the refs arms, on oxygen again, within 3 rounds.
Wach just beat him up, Rivas dropped him, AJ decapitates him. He knows this.Comment

Well said. The UK fanboys have very short memorys and selectively forget certain facts.sorry (not sorry) to bust your bubble but the WBC ordered Whyte to fight ortiz twice In two final eliminators and Whyte refused. Whyte the first fighter in history to duck world title shots.
Whyte has ducked almost the entire top 10. Quite a feat.Comment

9 times out of 10 he would get taken down and stopped, likely in the first round. It wouldnt even surprise me that much if he managed to get himself sparked out on the feet for the ultimate embarrasment. Anyone can get caught and taken out when its 4oz gloves, knees, kicks, elbows and no standing count.Comment

Whyte in the UFC would be fun.
It's odd to me how four years of high school wrestling seems to mean you're good to learn some punches and kicks and get you a belt in a few years down the line, but, a pro career in combat sports means you best to stick to your sport because you can't learn what children do in school.Comment

Wrestling is the strongest base for MMA. Its also much harder to pick up than basic striking. Theres a bit more to it than "four years of high school wrestling" too, the elite guys are commonly ex division 1 college level and they usually have an advanced belt in BJJ to go with it.It's odd to me how four years of high school wrestling seems to mean you're good to learn some punches and kicks and get you a belt in a few years down the line, but, a pro career in combat sports means you best to stick to your sport because you can't learn what children do in school.
Granted Whyte has a kickboxing background and dabbled in MMA, plus the HW division has a lower skill level, so hes better suited to make the jump than most, but still, moment he meets a decent wrestler hes probably screwed.Comment

There has been a lot of young champions in the UFC over the years as well some people can adapt and pick up things quicker so it wouldn't be impossible for a boxer to learn the technique in a few years and possibly transition Holly Holm did and beat a Judo specialist for her belt.Wrestling is the strongest base for MMA. Yeah a wrestler is going to have an advantage on the ground but you think someone who has been boxing since they were 8 years old could learn to sprawl and still have a good shot at beating a lot of fighters with some good strikes.
Wrestling is extremely important though to be a champion in MMA Cejudo, Khabib, Usman, and Miocic all are collegiate wrestlers and are all the current UFC champs excluding Adesanya who is a striker. So I do agree with you there but people write off boxers too quick if they land they are putting those guys to sleep regardless of their wrestling backgrounds if they get taken down they are getting a beatdown via ground and pound all day but if a boxer learned BJJ they could match up pretty well I'd say and would make it tougher for wrestlers.Comment
