I will say that he posts often, but as to whether he knows boxing remains to be seen. I am not sure what "politically correct" means, but I do know bias and bigotry when I see it.

You don’t talk like that in boxing.

Vergil Ortiz feels he can’t beat Errol Spence. Period.

There is no 1 or 2 year wait.

You either think you can or think you can’t. And if you ever say you can’t, then the answer will always be you can’t.

Unless you are talking about beating a past prime fighter. But when speaking of a fighter in his prime, in combat sport you don’t use the word “can’t” unless you are saying that another fighters can’t beat you. That’s terrible promotion in a sport where most fighters lack visibility. You are now putting yourself in the back of the line with comments like that. Who cares about a fighter who says he can’t beat the current best in his division? Honesty? This isn’t a relationship, it’s combat.

22 years old, 15 Pro fights. The man has at least a good 10 years at the top if he turns out to be as good as he looks. Time to lose a bit more green before he tries his luck at the very top. All sounds fair enough to me.

We've all seen fighters step up a little too early and get unstuck. To be fair I like it when these brash and brave kids fancy their chances at the big boys but there's nothing wrong with honing those skills and playing the long game. As long as its not too long.

Now's probably the time to get him, when he's recovering from the car wreck.

A year or two from now, he might be totally recovered and have a new lease on life.

I appreciate people who are honest to themselves like this young guy. He knows his potential and is taking his time to learn and improve before facing the elites. Not like those who rush their career because of quick money and then screw up big time.

Hell no. Did you even read the medical report on Spence's injuries? They were all minor, sc****s, cuts, bruises and some busted teeth. He had no internal injuries, nor did he break any bones to my knowledge. What makes you think, when Spence is fully recovered and cleared to box again, that he will get beat by underachiever AB?
