I've been saying that was a bad smash Spence was in so I'm totally cool. With a soft touch 1st fight back. Although I was hoping not to have to ask "WHO THE FKK IS THAT?" when a name came forward.

But if it does turn out to be somebody like that let's give Spence a bit of leeway and wait to see who he faces after that.

It's not a good fight from a fan's perspective but I'm fine with him having a comeback fight against a low ranked opponent. We don't know how badly the crash has affected him in terms of boxing and, truth be told, neither will he until he's actually been back in the ring.

They are doing the right thing by easing him back in slowly and testing the waters. Boxing is not a sport to mess around with and he undoubtedly suffered some considerable head trauma in that accident. To come back against a top welterweight would be silly and reckless. It's just a shame that they don't put on non-title fights anymore like they used to, because this obviously shouldn't be for a world title.

            Why does he deserve leeway?

Cuz of the severity of his accident. Just once, 1 fight. We can wait 1 fight for him to be fighting at the level he should be. I'm all set to jump on him when his 2nd fight is also a let down and the Crawford fight is as far away as ever but I give him a pass this once.

Trash fight. Unless Spence is that bad that they need to go that low to see where he really is this fight makes no sense. He would steam roll a guy like this without being in top form.

A comeback fight should at least have a pulse. This is going to be a glorified sparring session where the opponent has absolutely no hope and could possibly get hurt. I want to hear all these Crawford haters defend this fight now.

If he cant perform his duties as a champ then he needs to be stripped and the next people in line deserve to fight for the vacant title. Hopefully the IBF maintains the same integrity they showed when they stripped Alvarez and Golovkin. I don't expect the WBC to show any integrity in regards to anything. They are a disgusting organization.
