Did Joe Calzaghe lose in his prime to Robin Reid

Many people seem to think so. What are your thoughts and how do you remember scoring the fight?

It was a close fight, could've gone either way from what I remember but I've not watched it for years, thanks for the link.

Bad night for Calzaghe, I felt he just edged it out...115-112 maybe 114-113.

But it's one of those fights where the fighter who wasnt expected to do much, does a whole lot, and so there is always an overreaction.

Calzaghe blew hot and cold with his performances for sure.

it was an either way decision, shame we didnt get the usual rematch that champions offer after an either way fight.
Reid went back to trying to win non-recognised titles, and Joe went back to fighting no hopers with Rick Thornberry next, so you can see the intent from their immediate resumes straight after.

Strange the way their was no rematch, as they where both British fighters 'With decent fan-bases'.

That was a damn close fight. Every undefeated fighter has at least one or two fights that could've gone either.
