Canelo agreed to the BJS fight before the GGG trilogy deal was made. So yeah of course there’s not an uproar there. Before the virus that was the plan all along.
BBB sides trainer is talking talking about 2 tune up fights that no one was talking about. Flies in the face of the “Canelo waiting for GGG to age” argument when his own guy is talking about delaying the fight another 6 months or even a year out.
BBB side needs to come out and say his trainer doesn’t speak for him and he wants the trilogy fight now or he looks weak AF.

When coronavirus first delayed Canelo-BJS, this is what Eddie Hearn had to say about that fight and the two scheduled GGG fights.

“Canelo wants to fight Billy Joe before he fights Golovkin, and Golovkin wants to fight [Kamil] Szeremeta before he fights Canelo,” said Hearn to IFL TV.

No one cared.

Probably because it makes sense to take the fights that were signed to happen first before moving on to the next one.

Then IFL TV asks Banks if GGG would skip Szeremeta to fight Canelo right away. He says no and everyone loses their mind.

Here’s my guess. When Canelo fans thought both fighters wanted an interim fight before the trilogy happened, nothing was wrong. But when the narrative shifted to only GGG wants a fight before the trilogy, he’s all of a sudden a p***y and he’s ducking, etc. etc.
