I hate the fact I have to word everything out for you guys on boxing scene. Just read between the lines.
I could see this match-up going a few ways. If we are talking Shane Mosley circa 1998-1999 vs. Manny circa 2008 (when he fought David Diaz) then I like Mosley's chances because we only saw Manny at lightweight once (against an overmatched opponent) while Mosley showed himself to be dominant

Now if we are talking about Shane circa 2000-2002 at 147 vs. Manny circa 2008-2010 then I like Manny in a shootout where he darts in and out with straight lefts all night. Mosley would bite down and rumble but I see Pacquiao surviving some tough moments to win a close but clear decision.

Shane had a fair size/strength advantage, and was a super talented fighter in his prime so he definitely has a good chance of taking the win. Prime Manny was still a beast then though so I'd pick him.

Sidenote: I can never get over how much of a physically dense hobbit Pac is. Dude's calves, forearms, wrists are like ****ing tree trunks.

I don’t think it would be a easy win for manny. I definitely can see it going MD Pacquiao or even a SD either way. Manny will get dropped in that fight at least once.
Then u have to look how old Shane neutralized Manny after that knockdown. I even remember Brother Naazim saying how he gave out the blueprint after losing.

The more i think about it the more I side with Prime Shane. My only problem is how relentless Manny was.

Im a huge Mosley fan. He was outstanding in his prime.

With that said, absolutely not. Pac beats Mosley at any weight from Lightweight to Welterweight.

U can't compare to a guy like Mosley who fought guys like Winky, Oscar, Forrest, Cotto. All which were prime. No asterisks. No catchweights. No nothing!

Oscar and Shane gave no fcks and their records payed the price
Juan Manuel Marquez was not coming off a loss, he was the no. P4P 2 behind Manny in 2008, Barrera was not coming off a loss, he was P4P no. 3 behind Bhop and Hopkins, Cotto was not coming off a loss, the catchweight I'll give you that asterisk, the only notable fighters that he fought coming off losses were Morales and Oscar during that fight, and both men were favorite to beat Pacquiao on both occasions.

I didnt say all were coming off losses or questionable fights or layoffs. I said alot were

Hatton, Marquez weren't to name a few.

Im saying u can't compare to Shane! Most of his fights were even. Am i wrong?
