Young kids from the hood, the barrio, and steel mill towns and trailer parks no longer grew up watching boxers and therefore didn’t go to boxing gyms themselves. HBO, Showtime, Don King, Bob Arum, the Duvas, etc all share a measure of responsibility because of greed as you said
All those networks and promoters also started over paying fighters, look at the bulk of JOnes career, yes he was a great talent but he didnt have big fights, but got paid big fight money. Mayweather was the same, the next Leonard by HBO but it took till 2007 for him to become a mainstream star...or as mainstream as it gets now but even then, his salary skewed boxing economics.

So much so, that by the time he had his clash with Pacquiao in 2015, it essentially tanked the HBO ppv model. Showtime seems to be disappointed with boxing too going off of their comments. As more networks drop boxing, as it becomes more and more PPV based on finds its way onto obscure streaming services, the less people get to view it.

American fight fans definitely gets taken for mugs. That is why a lot of people stream everything in that country now. And i don't blame them.

So Holyfield at his prime went life and death with the corpse of Foreman.

And 100 years old Foreman stopped Moorer.

This 90`s are so overrated. Imagine if 25 old Foreman was there in 90`s.

A man worhty of induction into the Boxing Hall of Fame. Nice story.

Mayweather ruined the PPV model with all his fixed rigged borins sparring sessions against handpicked bought off opponents or judge rigged contests (Pac).
