Boxing Without Live Audience Due to Corona

How will boxing be different without a live audience in the arena seats watching the fight

Will fights get serious as two men personally settle it?

Will fights become relaxed without the peer pressure of spectators egging the boxers on to beat the **** out of each other

The problem is, fighters will just use that as an excuse when they lose.

How many times are we gonna have to hear, "yeah, it was weird not hearing the roar of the crowd. It threw me off my game. With an audience, I would have won!"

I’ve heard the opposite from Roy Jones

Lotta guys are dope in gym wars and sparring

But they don’t handle crowds well and perform worse

Brandun Lee commented on fighting without audience recently.

It was weird when Brandun Lee entered an eerily silent arena on March 13 in Hinckley, Minnesota. The unbeaten junior welterweight prospect hasn’t competed before the biggest boxing crowds, but boxing in front of “probably 30” people was a highly unusual experience. Fans weren’t allowed to attend the card he headlined at Grand Casino Hinckley due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He said that he would have knocked his opponent out earlier probably, but the atmosphere was dead and he didnt have the usual adrenaline rush.

1st let's hope the SanctioningBodies/promoters keep it fair. Fighter A having the same size contingent in the venue as Fighter B.

Beyond that it's no different than when spectators are present. Not everyone responds to having a crowd the same ... neither will everyone respond to zero crowd the same. For the fight outcome it doesn't matter ... it is what it is. I think a lot of guys will keep to gameplans much better, and there may be less "playing to the crowd" antics out of fighters (a good thing).

Fights down at the YMCA or Boys' Clubs were like that ... only a few people but fierce and epic.

I’m noticing that a lot of your threads are copies of threads that already exist. You reword it but it’s essentially the same.
