Odds mean nothing and it was impossible for Floyd to have been an underdog or have closer odds but:

Ali was a 7 to 1 underdog against Liston

Ali was a 4 to 1 underdog against Foreman

Jones was a 2 to 1 underdog against Toney

Leonard was a 3 to 1 underdog against Hagler

Leonard was a 2.5 to 1 underdog against Hearns

The list goes on and on... So yes, odds does paint a clear picture of "odds" at the time of the fight.

You still have yet to tell me who G beat that was better than Canelo's win over Kovalev. If that win was so weak, surely G should have one better, no?

Lastly, you kill your own theory by saying an old Golovkin beat Canelo. If G beat Canelo while he was over 35, doesn't that prove that guys can still compete at 35 and over? If that's the case, then there's nothing wrong with Canelo beating the guy's you just named especially when they were top 3 or lower at the time

your argument of comparing one fighters resume to another by utlizing the odds is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The better you are ,the more favored you'd be, over even top fighters. Cotto was the perfect example in what his odds were as a younger bigger man vs Floyd compared to what he was as an older smaller man vs Canelo. All you did was prove that Canelo is inferior to Floyd with that argument. Based on your logic , should I say that Danny Garcia has a better resume than Canelo because he went into more fights as an underdog since he was the underdog vs Khan, mathysse , and Thurman?

I never said that guys can't compete over 35, but boxers are without a doubt on the decline by the age. Hardly ever is a boxer better in their mid to late 30s than they were in their 20s. Especially if they don't use peds. So what i proved was that even a past prime ggg was better than a prime Canelo.

Did you even read one sentence of my odds post? It's to speak to "risk", it had nothing to do with resume, but again "risk".

If Floyd fought G, Ward or Hopkins at 160, what would be the risk/odds of those fights?

You completely skipped over the odds comparisons of Ali, SRL, Jones, etc.

Outside of risk, when I wanted to compare actual resumes, I did just that; compared resumes. Take a look back at my post.
