vitali is not considered a great,he is the next rung down at best, but more like a persistent decent titlist.

NSB considers Crawford a great. I would argue that all pounds equal, most anyone on Vitali's resume destroys everyone on Crawford's. So, no.

Besides, Vitali beat a fairly good version of Shannon Briggs. Older but still dominant at the time. We all know if weights and ages were equal, Briggs runs through Crawford AND his resume with perfect knockouts.

If an old Shannon Briggs is your best win that’s awful really isn’t it?

Once again, I would put money on a 40-year old heavyweight Briggs to spark a heavyweight version of everyone Crawford has fought AND him.

Not even his brother Wladimir should be considered a genuine great.

I don’t think anyone considered him “Great” not when Lewis is stopping you at that age. Fan boys would be fan boys though, and am guessing they were gassing for him the same way Wilder fanboys were gassing for their King after fighting bums upon bums. You know the “Generational power” and “2 seconds perfection” thing.

                    Nah, not for that.

When the best win on your resume is Kubrat Pulev.
When you have been stinking out the joint most times you won against lesser opponents.
When you get destroyed by the likes of Corrie Sanders, Ross Puritty and Lamon Brewster.
When you lose against the two lone high-level opponents you have fought.

All of the above translates as a "secondary champion" tag.
