Lol! I get it. Roy re-emphasizes he "discovered" Fury. So he has to talk him up every chance he gets. Kinda like Diana Ross discovering the Jackson 5...lol...

I wonder if Ali wouldve used the same dry hump **** tactics that Fury used to help cheat Wilder out of his title.... For a BIG TALL skillful guy that's known primarily for having exceptional "boxing skills," Fury sure didnt seem to rely on em.' He relied on placing his gut on Wilder every chance he got - topped off with palm strikes ...hmmmm.

I see Ali keeping his strategy at a distance with the use of jabs combinations and defensive footwork, maybe even using the Rope-A-Dope. NOT wrestling or resting his heavy gut weight on the smaller guy (maybe Ali would if he had that type of buffalo weight to rest) with MMA headlocks & palm strikes. Ali did "rest" on Frazier, but thats only because Frazier stayed on the inside, practically stuck to Ali like no other opponent Ali has ever faced.

The only thing Fury didn't accomplish was grappling Wilder from the rear and bodyslamming him..... Fury did more of what Foreman did to Ali - kept coming forward with a barrage of heavy punches to try an intimidate and tire out the smaller guy. George wasnt the dry hump raping type though, so Fury is in a class by himself..... Fury was scared and didn't rely much on boxing at all...

Fury is smart because in the build up he talks a lot of smack and tries to behave like an idiot, so his opponents don’t respect how smart he is in that ring.

In plenty of interviews before the Wlad fight, he could sit there and name off every opponent on his resume, how the fight went, the context, and damn near every minute of every round. Ok, I'm indulging a bit, but watching him just stand there and name off history in those vids gave a glimpse into how he's approaching the game.

Another good hint I thought was his custom suit with all the boxing posters and fighters - I've seen some true life boxing characters walking around casino's before fights and stuff, Fury would fit right in - you wear that suit, you love boxing and its history.

Lol, Fury is getting better every day lmao. By the time Covid ends he will be faster than Khan, better defense than Mayweather, more powerful than Foreman and a better chin than Froch.

Fury is pretty average. He beat a lethargic Wlad with his herky jerky style, and a hyped Wilder.

Joshua will destroy Fury of they meet.

Hey Roy, Just because you noticed some boxing skills in Fury doesnt mean you have to act like youre that someone who first introduced him to a boxing gym and taught him how to box..."I saw him and said to him....." - "I told him straight....." - "I'm proud of him."

Roy, you might as well say, 'you makin' me look good since I taught you everything you know.'...,No Roy, Fury's not your son - plus he cheated....Stop tryna live vicariously thru another steroid cheat who has now upped his game with floppy glove palm strikes...

When he fought Fury I thought it was a BS stoppage. I never took Fury seriously before that fight but I did watch all his fights. I really started taking him seriously when he fought Martin Rogan. He fought Rogan in the southpaw stance for the entire fight. He never once got back in the orthodox stance. Sure Rogan was no world beater but he beat some good names on the domestic scene & was expected to give him a decent fight. Fury pummelled him for 5 rounds until they stopped it. Nobody saw the southpaw thing coming. That changed every future opponents's gameplan against him as they now had to take that into consideration in training camp. I have always said since that fight there is no solid gameplan to fight Fury because he is so versatile & you never know what he is going to do. His ring IQ & skillset is off the charts...
I had my doubts on Fury in the past but I respect his skills. I definitely think he is the best HW at the moment. He stands out because he is like you said very versatile. The only boxer that may pose problems to Fury is Usyk. However, Usyk is pretty small compared to Fury and we still don’t truly know if Usyk can compete with the big heavyweights.

I think Roy sees a lot of himself in Fury, that’s all. In his Prime, Roy was very skilled and smart inside the ring. His mind and confidence was through the charts. I believe the big mistake Roy made was going up to HW and back down to Light Heavyweight. Even the 1st fight against Tarver, he wasn’t himself but still managed to pull out a contested win. But he was never the same after the Ruiz fight in my opinion, and started to decline after the 1st Tarver fight. And after the 2nd Tarver fight and Glen Johnson fight, he was a shell of his former self from his prime. And his best win was against a 35 year old Trinidad after the knockout losses to Glen and Tarver.

People don’t realize when Roy fought John Ruiz for the HW title, he was 34 years old. He should have retired then. By comparison of other great HOF’ers, with the exception of Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather or Manny, “mostly” everyone else was on the decline in their overall skills or retired at 35 or 36 years old, the age of Roy in his 1st Tarver fight. Especially fighters that relied on their natural boxing ability, reflexes, and instincts.

Sugar Ray Leonard-35 yrs, loss to Terry Norris

                Oscar-35 yrs, loss to Manny

Ali-36 yrs, loss to Leon Spinks

Holmes-36 yrs, loss to Michael Spinks

Pernell Whitaker-35 yrs, loss to Trinidad

This is a man who has watched a lot of HW boxing.

Fury is a special fighter, I've said it for years.
