Comments Thread For: Roy Jones: Fury is One of The Smartest in Boxing, A Mind Like Ali

Fighter turned trainer Roy Jones Jr. has lavished praise on WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Jones Jr, who won world titles in four weight divisions and is widely regarded as one of the best fighters in the history of boxing, was speaking to iFL TV about Fury's recent stoppage of Deontay Wilder from back in February at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Ali is the greatest but I doubt he's as skilled as fury is.
Ali's more physical attributes, speed, reflexes, chin

Prime Ali - Fury would be a very good fight.

          Tall praise.
          But mostly deserved.
Never an Ali fan (as a person).

I think what sets Fury apart is his boxing brains. And the better the threat the better he prepares for the threat. That’s why he needs bigger name fights. And I really can’t wait to see him against Joshua and Whyte. I personally think his best performance would be against a Whyte type of fighter.

Wilder will retire after 3 losses at the end of this year so you will be waiting awhile for that one up until he fights AJ who I think will do exactly that and catch Fury late in that one in a close to even fight going over 9 rounds .
