Remember when GGG complained about the national anthems?

Why’d he complain? Was it because he didn’t have enough kasahks supporting him?

he was confused about his own nationality. Abel made him believe he was Mexican. He preferred the Mexican National anthem over anything, but HBO didn't like that idea. He would've been groundbreaking creativity

          They are kinda dumb.

Especially when they have three of them.

I don't think many would cry if anthems weren't sang before a fight.

if I remember right it was because instead of playing the anthems while the fighter were still in the dressing rooms (like they do 99% of the time), in this case they did the ring walks first and then spent 20 minutes screwing around with anthems while the fighters were standing in the ring.

Im pretty sure it was a GGG fight that it happened on......

Spot on. GGG didn't want to stay in the ring for like 20min. Dude wants to fight in the ring not listening to anthems for 20mins like

Because it's annoying preamble that no one likes to see anymore? I wouldn't complain if they did away with them. All I ever hear in an RBR is complaints about the damn anthems being played.
