Dervy would be a good fight for Canelo. He has the footwork and stamina to POSSIBLY outwork Canelo. He has the formula. He showed it against old man GGG now that he's not the boogieman anymore. Canelo is the new boogieman and he's in his prime. Dervy won't stop him but he can go 12 rounds in a great fight and lose a controversial decision at best.

If you ask me imho Derevo is taylor made for Canelo, styles makes fights, Look at how Jacobs vs Derev played out and how GGG vs Derev played out.

A slick guy with power will be the worst style for a fighter like derevyanchenko, Canelo would wait for him to counter him all night and he wouldn't get touch as much as GGG.

I'be always thought that boxing is all about styles some guys will do good against a particula style but will have trouble against another particular one.

Based on Alvarez career slick movers are what gives him more trouble, that's what I was very high on the BJS fight, too bad it won't happen.

As much as I like Derevyanchenko, he didn't mention Andrade at all either. Golovkin definitely ain't gonna wanna see him again after their encounter & the other two even less after seeing him put Golovkin through that life-and-death struggle. Another high-risk low-reward scenario here. Difference with Andrade is he that has a belt & they act like he doesn't even exist.

If Golovkin is a low volume plodder then Canelo is stuck in molasses permanently. Seriously just watch any Canelo fight and notice how little he does. Yes he's flashy but my lord is he inactive. Golovkin sc****d through against Derevyanchenko solely on that knockdown, otherwise he'd not be champ right now. Gotta say he didn't look as active as usual in there.
