Sure, if you can get a guy out of there quickly go ahead, but a lot of lessons and experience is being postponed, imo. The thing is, I'm not really sure Linares is the right 'next guy'. He seems to have a questionable chin lately, and could make another early exit. We'll see...
Yeah it's true he needs more time to develop but one thing you said I don't agree with because Linares has always had a questionable chin. He got knocked out in the past 3 divisions he has fought in going all the way back to getting starched in 1 round by Juan Carlos Salgado over a decade ago he's just not that durable an extremely talented fighter had every quality except the punch resistance.

That won't prove anything. Rather see him fight Haney, someone who takes the sport seriously and trains.

Pretty sure 2 of the Linares stoppages were due to cuts, and one for a liver shot. I'm fairly sure that only Salgado and Cano have dropped him.

and Cano had a big size advantage.

My bad I guess I imagined Yeyo Thompson dropping him in the 2nd round and then having the doctor come save him because he was out on his feet. A stoppage is a stoppage if they wouldn't have stopped the DeMarco fight on cuts he was on his way to getting stopped regardless those cuts wouldn't let him see the punches coming.

He has been dropped in the early rounds several times he has no punch resistance that is what I said I never said he got knocked out cold I said he has been knocked out in the last 3 divisions he has fought in which is true lol (Salgado-130 Thompson 135- Cano- 140) and has all the skills but no punch resistance.

Yeah suppose you're right. Just goes to confirm my su****ion...is he really the best opponent to try and stretch Garcia out.

Yeah for sure I agree he might not be the best choice but like everyone says a fighter is only as good as his last fight and he did a better job against Morales than Garcia did it would be a good test to see where he's actually at.

He’s got potential but his interviews lead me to believe he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I’d like to see him fight Haney but gotta a feeling they are going to drag it out.
