Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia Has Long Way To Become Great Champ, Says Reynoso

Ryan Garcia has been making the rounds lately calling out every formidable champion and contender in the lightweight division. Trainer Eddy Reynoso, who's presided over the green Garcia's coach for his previous four fights, believes that his promising 21-year-old pupil still needs a little bit more seasoning before being matched in mega fights.

I believe Ryan Garcia is the real deal too, but that's about the most sensible thing you're ever going to hear a trainer say. A total of what, 4 rounds in the last 3 fights ?
Sure, if you can get a guy out of there quickly go ahead, but a lot of lessons and experience is being postponed, imo. The thing is, I'm not really sure Linares is the right 'next guy'. He seems to have a questionable chin lately, and could make another early exit. We'll see...

Rihanna reminds me of the former lightweight hype-job, Felix Verdejo. The selection of Jorge Linares as Garcia's next opponent seems counter-intuitive to what Little-Chepo is saying, but I'm not complaining.

That's a lack of confidence if you ask me.

Ask Edwin Valero how many rounds he needed to get his experience, lol.

This kid is just a social media sensation. Put him in with Tank Davis and see what happens.

Eddy Reynoso is like a master craftsman, he knows it takes time to work on a masterpiece.

Ryan Garcia is good already but if he lets Eddy develop him according to his plan he can become great.
