Very intriguing matchup. Would Bivol be able to avoid the power for twelve rounds?

I can't tell you how impressed I was vs the excellent Gvozdyk. What a fighter he is - got everything and he does it in his own style. Just awesome.
I’ve been watching since he came to Canada
He really is special
People think he’s just a bull , but he’s much more than that

Him and Bivol would be big down there

I’d like to see him dominate the division before anything else

After Beterbiev (-81kg LHW) and Egor Mekhontsev (-91kg CW) became both European and World champs in 2009 and 2010 new trainer decided to switch them favoring Mekhontsev to win a medal in future Worlds 2011 and Olympics 2012 at LHW, because he knew that Usyk was coming. And because of the favoritism and because Beterbiev was that good that could compete with cruisers Mekhontsev won his bronze in 2011 and gold in 2012 fighting smaller guys and Beterbiev bumped into Usyk
That’s why I’d like for him to unify the light heavyweight division and if he has anything left then a jump to cruiserweight wouldn’t be a big deal for him

Ulysses Jr. seems more interested in playing video games.
Even before the fight vs Murata, I wasn't sold on Butler being a top level prospect?
We'll really see what's up with Marie-Ève Dicaire vs Shields (Dicaire has no chance imo)
I won't even discuss Simon Kean
Still early and I haven't watched him too often but do you think Arslanbek Makhmudov is the goods (at least World level)?
Btw, when I look at Lemieux, I see a 154lbs to be honest (yet he can't make 160). Saunders made him look foolish at 160, imagine what a craftier lanky 168lbs with reach would do!

If we thought great fights were difficult to make before, wait untill this upcoming economic crisis where promoters are even less willing to lose their cash cows.

Imo , boxing has gone to chits over here
At least when Interbox was around , it was all about growing talent at home , although they were all not from here lol
I really thought that Ulysses would mature once he got to the big stage but he just seems uninterested
Not sure why either
Butler is straight out no good
He's got no power and is more worried about maintaining his street cred , more than anything else
Kean , I feel the same way you do , there’s no need for anything
Lemieux unfortunately came to that crossroad we all knew he was going into , to big for middleweight and to small for super middleweight
But he was one that needed to get a better trainer ( Ramsay is alright but he ain’t no top notch trainer , he got lucky to be handed already established boxers ) Ramsay believed the hype about Lemieux’s power and figured that would get him out of anything
He was never taught any defence or some basic skill and he’s one guy I thought really could make it
He actually got pretty far for what he’s got ( Wilder anybody )
Makhmudov is the real deal , but again needs a stern trainer , no yes man
Teach him to move a little , cut the ring move his head and I think he’ll be ok on the big stage , what I’m saying is he’s a little to robotic
Now the good stuff , Dicaire , I chit you not , she’s got a very good chance of beating Shields
She’s a tough girl , a southpaw , she hits pretty hard enough to gain respect
She needs to fight like a southpaw and move , get in get out
The only thing that worries me is if she’ll melt on the big stage , will she get caught like a deer in the headlights
But I would suggest you put a couple of bucks on this one , great odds and like I said she’s got a very good chance

The only drawback for people in the other side of the Atlantic, is the difference in time between Moscow/St. Petersburg and US/Canada.
Listen they had the Yarde fight and it was ok
But if they want some of the big bucks from the ppv , they’d have to have them fight overnight which used to be something they’ve done before
Although pretty sure for them to get the fight , the oligarchs have that kind of dough to even make the fight at an awkward time here in North America and make up for it
I guess we’ll have to wait and see

I agree with your take on Interbox. Part of me appreciates Estephan and EOTM strategy of throwing their boxers in tough early (sink or swim). But this strategy can backfire real quick if the young boxer ain't the goods. It's one thing to send a young Jean Pascal to the UK vs Froch and another to send young Butler to Japan vs Murata. Though Butler did land enough right hands to convince me that Murata is 'bout to get lit up like a Christmas tree soon enough!
