He actually was boxing well in that fight...but how can you really overlook the clinching and headbutts there...again if that fight was in Kessler's backyard, Ward is almost certainly DQd. In a neutral venue he is probably DQd. That's not really anything to get excited about is it
Here is the full fight if people have an hour to spare.

Ward boxed beautifully. But people don't have to take my word for it, they can watch the fight and judge for themselves.

Ward was a dirty fighter there is no getting around it. Has he ever had a point deducted from him in any pro fight. The referees these days are terrible.

ill put it this way. if ggg was born in the states he would have been a star boxer, actually even faster since he would have gotten more notice earlier. if ward was born anywhere else he probably never even has a pro career, and if he does no one would give him any notice at all, best case scenario would be that he builds up a shiny undefeated record and gets a big fight and gets dq'd henry awkindade style. unfortunately when you are the a-side you can do anything you want. henry you were born in the wrong place!

Bullshltkin could have been born in George Washington's ass... how would that help him, if he is unwilling to make big fights?

Canelo was not born in the USA

Pacquiao was not born in the USA

Cotto was not born in the USA

Golovkin needed to take the fights he avoided

Thanks - will post my full edited comment though which addressed some of this fight, in case you missed the edit:

'Why post the highlights and not the actual fight though lol.

He actually was boxing well in that fight - and it's ironic because that is the one big fight of Ward's where I really felt he was boxing pretty well and was somewhat impressed...I thought he beat Froch but it was a pretty lackluster coasting performance imho.

But how can you really overlook the clinching and headbutts there...again if that fight was in Kessler's backyard, Ward is almost certainly DQd. In a neutral venue he is probably DQd. That's not really anything to get excited about is it..idk I just don't see how people overlook that stuff when evaluating a guy.

If GGG beat Derevychenko with identical tactics at home in Karaganda Kazaakstan, I would give him a ton of sh.it for it and wouldn't even really look at it as a real win...it's a joke man.

Every big fight for Ward has a big 'yeah but' moment/moments...I just don't see how all of those 'yeah buts' aren't factored in when evaluating the guy.'

I doubt that over half of Ward's 'fans' have even seen more than 2 of his fights in their entirety lol.

I really did a lot of research on him and Kov in the buildup to their first fight as I was really intrigued as to who the better man would be.

I know vs Barrera he was docked a point for a low blow

Ward was dirty but yall haters disregard his skills and mental strengths that made him the fighter he is.

Like in the 2nd Sergey fight nobody brings up that right hand that almost finished him

                      Dude you missed the point.

The point is that stars are generated mainly by being from a big 3 boxing country - UK US or Mexico.

Almost every guy who is a star, who is not from those countries, needed to face a guy or guys from the big 3 to really become a star or superstar.

                      Pac needed Mayweather.

Duran needed Leonard Hagler and Hearns.

                      GGG needed Canelo.

The market just isn't there for guys who aren't from those big 3 countries..that's where all the money is.
