Tyson's just being kind because he's his Idol...

Imo I don't even think it would be a close fight. I loved watching Ali (videos) but I'd have Tyson to win easily. Tyson was an animal in his early years and I've never seen anyone like that nor likely to...

      Ali mid to late KO...
The mental aspect would have been a HUGE factor. Tyson's bully mentality would have been destroyed by Ali. Without it I would envisage a late round stoppage by Ali.

Man, Boxingscene articles suck. A couple of short quotes surrounded by filler.

Anyway, I always thought Ali would find a way to win this match-up. He’d avoid the big punch early, get past the first four rounds, then take Tyson deep and win a decision.

The Tyson that was coked out of his mind in the ring? Wins it. Goes down like the Reggie Gross fight.

I don’t know guys, but I think that the Tyson from the first few years, the fearless, the really explosive one and probably the really doped one (also steroid probably), would crush Ali in the first 3 rounds, the longer it got the more possibility for Ali to make adjustments. But those 3 first rounds would be Hell for Ali for sure. If it goes the distance no matter who won, in the rematch I give Ali 99% percent possibility to win it all. Just my humble opinion, cheers

Tyson would lose this by disqualification. If he can't hang with Holyfield, he can't hang with Ali. He would start looking for a way out. Ali would be talking to him and mocking him. Tyson doesn't have the character and heart to win this fight.

As they never fought, it's difficult to say whether Tyson or Ali would have been the victor; we'll never know, but since Tyson is humble enough to say that Ali would have won, I'm not going to argue the point. Yet Joe Frazier, who clearly did not worship at the altar of Ali but instead had a deep hatred of Ali, did fight and beat undefeated 29 year old Muhammad Ali on March 8, 1971.

Of course hes going to say that.

If Henry Cooper had Ali out until Dundee cheated and bought more time, Young mike at minimum has a decent chance to knock out Ali.

There are 2 Mike Tyson's. Prime Mike Tyson would obliterate Ali within 3 rounds.

Tyson BEFORE his trainer/mentor died. Before he went to prison. Before he went crazy would easily beat Ali. Easily.
All you have to do is look at the tapes of Tyson't first 20 or so fights. Then watch Ali's. Tyson was ferocious before he lost his mind and stopped training.
Tyson DID NOT TRAIN for Buster Douglas. He was already gone by then. That was his first loss. By the time he fought Holyfield & Lewis he was not PRIME Mike Tyson. So those who make this comparison do not understand there are 2 Mike Tyson's. Mike Tyson saying things like this likely means he does not even comprehend there are 2 Mike Tyson's.

Exactly right. Just look at the tapes. Look at the muscle on Ali & Cooper. PRIME Mike Tyson beats them both easily.
The Tyson that fought Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis might be beat by Ali.
Most people do not comprehend there are 2 Mike Tyson's.
