No question Calazaghe would've easily got a UD over Froch.

He wouldn't offer much different to a prime Kessler, whom Calazaghe beat and Froch struggled to 1 loss one win.

Frochs calmed down but is still pretty darn arrogant.

Calazaghe is at least able accept he probably not definitely would have lost to prime Jones, which shows he's chilled and is big enough to accept things like this, as is Tyson.

this is badly written article, Froch in fact was Joes mando that Calzaghe dumped the belts in the same week he was supposed to mando against Froch, the shot Jones fight had been pencilled in as a replacement earlier. Joe had no intention of making stiff title defences.

No blame attached, prime Froch might well have pole axed a post prime Calzaghe.

Did Froch fight Callum Smith, Benavidez or Zurdo near the end, or did he chase the big money bouts?
Though I'm a massive Calzaghe fan and would still back him to win closely against Jones with both at their peaks, even I would say he was a lot closer to his best than Jones when they finally fought. The Hopkins fight was a lot closer, but B-Hop continued fighting at world championship level for about a decade afterwards.
you cant reverse the facts that Froch fought the next number one, groves, twice, when he was older than Calzaghe had run away.

I'm sure she does. Many others will.

Froch wasn’t named mandatory until April 28th 2008. Calzaghe had just beat B-Hop in Vegas and was looking to fight a modern legend (albeit a shot one) in Roy Jones at MSG.

In comparison Froch was preparing to fight Albert Rybacki on Junior Witter’s undercard. His best win was probably a semi retired Robin Reid or Brian Magee both British title fights.

Joe simply had bigger fish to fry. Fighting Froch made no sense without the power of hindsight.

Maybe if Joe was under motivated it would have been a close fight.

If the scenario was Joe taking on what he viewed was a domestic challenger in maybe a Carl Froch pre his Pascal win.

The amount of success Groves had against Froch well twice really just makes me struggle to pick a way for Froch.

Groves must be the only boxer in history to kick the **** out of someone twice but it end up unconscious.

Froch would never get over it. But that’s how it goes. You cannot fight every up and comer that are coming through. The newcomers alway irritates the guys who are on their way out, some of them you get to fight but some of them you don’t really get to fight them, Eubank had to fight Joe calzaghe, Froch didn’t fight Degale even though he was being chased for that fight but he got to fight Groves. That’s just how boxing is, but Froch is a fighter who would never get over things, just like he cannot get over groves even though he beat him twice.

no you've made that up, Froch was his next SMW defence, Joe had till April to defend against him,. He didnt. You reversed the facts again. why again? whats causing you to do that repeatedly?cheers.

In comparison Froch was preparing to fight Albert Rybacki on Junior Witter’s undercard. His best win was probably a semi retired Robin Reid or Brian Magee both British title fights.

no, a number 1 mando is not a smaller fish than shot jones.
its not simple at all apart from a simple avoidance of a stiff test, story of calzaghe's life.

whats with the rybacki excuse? froch fought rybacki to replace joe running away. If Joe had taken his stiff mando, Froch and Joe would have fought, there would be no Rybacki. This means that it was Joe that caused the Rybacki fight, the guy you are defending with that point is to blame for your point. You are telling us Joe was in the wrong!

Chavez Sr and Jorge Arce just squared off in 2 exhibitions with a pretty good turn out.

I'm pretty sure Chavez is older than both.

I say Joe needs to lace em up and give Froch a shot for old time sake. Even can make it an exhibition

But even if Joe wins, Froch will still be greater
