Terence Crawford on Chris Mannix Podcast

    Some tidbits from the podcast:

-Count Crawford as a Covid19 truther. Is not afraid one bit of the virus and still lets his kids go out and said the virus only hurts those that are elderly and have underlying conditions. Doesn't understand why some people still work while others don't and he needs some answers.

-If there are no fans in the stands, he will not fight, or will demand more money up front. Said if he's not getting gate revenue, then he needs to get compensated in another way.

-Has talked to Spence a few times via text and face time. They will fight but have to be compensated properly. Thinks their fight is much bigger than Wilder vs Fury.

-Said he will not fight Spence right away and told Spence to take another fight beforehand. Bud doesn't feel he will get credit for fighting Spence after the car accident and wants to see him return to form before fighting him. Thinks he will get a lot of backlash if he hurts Spence badly as the fans will kill him since Spence should never have been fighting and was permanently injured etc.

-Has Brook and Teixeira as an option for his next fight. Will looks hard into taking either fight if the fights are presented to him.

-Doesn't think Wilder is going to be able to do anything with Fury in the third fight as Fury just has his number. Thinks Fury getting up from the KDs in the first fight gave him the confidence he could take Wilder's punches and from that point on there is just nothing else Wilder can do to get the upper hand.

    Thank you for the breakdown

Has Brook and Teixeira as an option for his next fight? Of course he does.

Not a single mention of Shawn Porter in that podcast I bet.

To be fair Corona Virus is primarily a danger for elderly or those who are critically ill and/or immunocompromised.

80% of people are asymptomatic meaning the virus essentially doesnt affect them. The remaining 20% experience a wide range of effects, but we know mortality rate for 85+ is something between 12-17% and for 49 and under is less than 1%. And those are combined figures from China, Italy, and so far in the US.

It is significant because the baby boomers are all in their 60s or older so this virus could do a bad number on that whole demographic

My friend works as an RN at the community hospital and said they have three people under the age of 40 that needed to be put in ICU. Two of them fully recovered but there was one death. The one that died had no underlying conditions but came a bit too late to the hospital.

While the elderly are going to be the ones being hit the hardest, Crawford is wrong in thinking those young and healthy can't be impacted by the virus. And while Crawford or his kids may be fine, they can potentially give the virus to Bud's mom or grandparents and they may not be as lucky.

Mannix didn't bring Porter up but yeah, that fight doesn't look to be happening next. All goes well, you see Spence vs DSG and Crawford vs Brook later this year, and then the two face off early next year....If they win their respective fights.

So Spence is going to have the harder fight while Crawford cruises by against damaged goods Brook. And if Spence fights Pac after that Crawford will find another soft touch. It's the Top Rank way.

Thanks for posting this, though, man. Good info.

I'm hopeful the Spence fight happens. Obviously if either get offered the Pacquiao fight, they will take it over any fight. But I don't see that happening. Pacquiao is probably fighting Mikey Garcia next.

I'm interested in seeing if the Brook fight is at 147 or 154? I mean Teixeira fight will be at 154 if it happens and honestly at this point, Spence may be campaigning at that weight as well. So the super fight could be happening at JMW instead of WW.
