Its all you think about you can't even just enjoy the thread and talk about boxing.

Reasonable argument because Manny was considered the #2 p4p fighter in the world as he was when he fought Floyd.

I think the magnitude of Floyd /manny is the difference is gives it the edge.

If you look at Pac's career before and after the Mayweather fight, though, and the type of victory and fight it was, there's just no way it tops Marquez ending one of the great rivalries in boxing history with one of the most memorable knockouts in boxing history, and also ending Manny's prime in that fight. We've never seen a prime Manny since that fight.

Mayweather's win just doesn't compare to that. It wasn't a memorable fight, neither put forth any kind of special performance, it wasn't that dominant, and Manny wasn't Manny anymore, just like Mayweather wasn't Mayweather.

Beating Alvarez is a better win than beating Manny was. That was a shutout victory over a great fighter hitting his stride, who has gone on to be one of the best fighters in the sport since, and happened when Floyd was old.
