Used to hold up Ring Mag as a true Bible of boxing.

Spent all my money as a kid on magazine subscriptions. It wasnt till I was about 30 years old that I began to realize how much utter propaganda that magazine is.
It might as well be edited by Larry Merchant and max Kellermen

I no longer believe anything that any promoter says

I still haven't outgrown preferring the higher-weight divisions

I always used to check out the bulge on fighters during the weigh in and picked the guy with a bigger **** to win.

But then I realized that doesnt really have much to do with their boxing skills so stopped doing it.

Still check out their packages though and try to come up with a **** size estimate but just for fun now not for predictions.

Thinking two big names equals a good fight..... When most are letdowns and guys don't take chances vs other top guys.

believing that belt hostage holders who beat a string of opponents were actually better than they really were

believing the hype that the wbc was the 'best' belt

Yea, you are young and you were biased. I will root for different guys on different nights.

This is I'd say 90 plus percent of this forum. They really don't know boxing and they'll use the internet instead of learning with their eyes. But how can you teach someone boxing when they're young and ******?

Similar to guys coming in the gym who've never fought before and say they're gonna knock everyone out. Then they get in the ring and have a brutal life changing experience.

I always knew the judges would show bias toward the fighter whose promoter was comping their expenses, but I used to think the refs treated both fighters the same. Live and learn.
