Idk, did he ever coach? I don't follow the NBA.

certainly has the smarts and experience in the ring. the question is he a good communicator/teacher. translate his thoughts to words for pupils to absorb. oh yeah this guy can talk. lol. he would be a really good trainer.

The guy will be a terrible trainer. Being trainer is a full-time job and you have be all about your fighter. Mayweather is narcisstic billionaire practically and would never want to deal with the day-in and day-out grind of training a fighter. More cheap headlines for attention for the biggest attention whore in sports' history.

Well, 1: he's got knowledge and insights second to no one, 2: he's got a work ethic second to no one, 3: he's been to the top and knows what's required to get there so he's not likely going to waste his time with someone who doesn't have the attributes to get there.

Floyd may not ultimately train the next Floyd Mayweather (too many variables outside of his direct control), but I am fairly certain that whoever he commits to working with will be cut from the same cloth. Floyd has too much pride to be that closely associated with anyone less. I could see him training and then dumping plenty of guys who just don't meet his high standards.

In order for Floyd to have success as a trainer he will have to find a true gym rat that listens great

Mayweather putting others first is an oxymoron. Money talks, but he doesn't listen.

Congratulation for Mayweather for this excellent endeavor.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. as a trainer, now that is something I am looking forward. The man is serious about his ambition, hope Mayweather Jr. have success as a trainer and produce fighters of his caliber now and then.

once he realises all fighters now are snowflakes he back to promoting himself again imagine teaching somebody to box like him and only for them to be blasted out.

Its bit like Naseem Hamed teaching

Can't argue with him there. Not a better person to learn the art of boxing from.
