That wasn't a good win for floyd. Because ref didn't let Hatton fight like he had in all previous fights. So Floyd got preferential treatment.
Everyone who had fought Hatton and lost to him watching Floyd v Hatton will be thinking life's not fair, the ref didn't protect them against Hatton like Cortez did with floyd.

So it's part of his style, he was involved in countless other ugly fights too. Floyd did much more damage on the inside than Hatton did. He broke Hatton down with body shots which is what enabled the knockout.

It wasn't Cortez that stopped Hatton from fighting his fight, it was Floyd who stopped him. Floyd didn’t need Cortez to muffle Hatton’s roughhousing because his forearm did that just fine lol. He would stick the elbow/forearm in Hatton’s face as he tried to maul him which rendered Hatton ineffective. Hatton wasn’t able to do anything inside against Floyd. You should be thankful for Cortez breaking them up as much as he did because it made the fight much more entertaining. All Hatton was aiming to do was to muck the fight up and make it a wrestling match instead of a boxing match. He basically landed no clean punches he n the entire fight. Y’all just refuse to give Floyd his just due and we all know why.

Hatton always had a glaring flaw that he didnt do much to correct, he would walk directly foward in a straight line, squared up to get inside on every opponent. No head movement, much to Floyd Sr's disappointment "Move your damn head" when he coached Hatton for Pacquaio. Vs any fighter with big power that is a death sentence and we seen Manny Spark him out. Floyd almost couldnt miss the right with Hatton coming it, it just took 10 rounds to get him out of there, he was lucky Floyd had busted hands.
