Tyson didn't even need training to blast out Etienne, but yes, disciplined training is important. It just shows how bad the era of the Klitschko's were, although Vitali was quite good. But these guys wouldn't do well against Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe. Tyson Fury would be quite competitive I think.

Although Etienne was before the Klitschko's era, I thought a comparison of era's could be good, especially now in this time of the 'pandemic' and lockdown's. Does the modeling warrant such long lockdowns while people struggle for food? But I digress, back to boxing talk. Top high level earners like Canelo are fine, but thoughts to those boxers at the lower tier for whom regular fights are important for them for daily expenses.Comment

Mike lost all the discipline that Cus D'Amato and Kevin Rooney had instilled in him, that made him a world champion.

Reading between the lines, Mike was an emotional guy and I'm sure most people around him chose to ignore what he said one day and just go along like nothing happened, because they expected his mind to change the next day.
That doesn't work for everybody, including most boxing trainers. You tell Atlas, Sanchez or Roach you're not fighting, they'd be on the next plane out as well.Comment
