I think loads of fighters can beat exposed Wilder now

Whyte is too inconsistent. I'm not saying he doesn't have a punchers chance, especially against Wilder. In fact, Wilder turned down a $7M offer to fight him, which would have been 7X his biggest payday at the time.Comment

He has no choice but to fight Fury again, which means he will lose again.
I still see Wilder as top 5 fighter, but, man, if Fury beats his ass again ( and he will), there will not be much left in Wilder.
Wilder is still better than guys like Helenius or Martin, but Whyte and Ruiz are 50 -50 fights.
Joshua and Parker would probably beat Wilder.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 04-10-2020, 03:19 PM.Comment

I think a few were a bit weary of the right hand but yeah are giving him to much credit because Arreola thinks Vitali hit harder and that’s when he was in shape, Breazeale didn’t respect the right hand and caused a one rnd stoppage, all in all Wilder hasn’t defeated any primary puncher yet . Even Ortiz was not fazed after the first loss and stood right in front of Wilder the second time, fighters aren’t actually afraid of the right hand .
I don’t think it’s a case of everyone now has his number ,I think he chose the right guys instead. If you look at my list of guys who I thought would win over him it’s pretty extensive while he had the title , Usyk, Hrgovic, Joyce , Fury , AJ . While I view Whyte , Wallin and Breazeale fights still 50/50 because one solid shot on Wilder and it could be over .
The loss will make it easier however to defeat Wilder for sure but Ortiz of 2017 is his best win ,that doesn’t say anything of the now . He’s really going to need luck to dig himself out of this one ,he struck gold with the Corona Virus because he was on his way out in a third immediate rematch he was pursuing and now has the boxing canceled or postponed events to give him more time .Last edited by REDEEMER; 04-10-2020, 07:02 PM.Comment

Sparrow legs lol.
There is something to this. Wilder is always dangerous, but it’s clear he’s most dangerous on his terms. If the pace gets pushed and a fighter puts any pressure on him, he’s inept. His footwork is too sloppy to beat his opponent to punching position if he has to move back or turn. If he can’t manage to keep his opponent at the end of his shots, he’s gonna have problems. The good news for him, is there’s plenty of times during a fight where he will have an opportunity to unload, and he has an eraser.Comment

Sounds like you got it all figured out....why don't you go train at your YMCA and challenge him!I belive Fury has opened the floodgates and we are going to see sparrow legs on the canvas a whole lot more times now.
See in the past Wilder has benefited from two things
1. Most of his opponents didn't want to be there
Let's be honest most of them were not real challengers and were just random guys showing up for a half decent payday.
2. Most of his opponents were scared to death of his right hand
Up until Fury two all his opponents gave him way too much respect for his right hand, but this was dumb because all it meant was they tried to keep away from it, ironically giving him time and space to land it.
I think now, he's going to lose most of that, he's going to need to fight opponents who are live after Fury Kos him again, and They aren't going to give him the same respect.
Say he fights a Daniel Dubois next, Dubois is going to tear straight at him, ok Wilder has a chance to land his right hand but if he doesn't land it before Dubois gets in his face, what then.
One trick pony has been exposed, every opponent is just going to charge across no man's land and when they make it across wilder will get battered.
I'm calling it now, Wilders career ends with something like 7-8 KO losses on his record, and by the end of it he will be a David Price like figure, losing to european level guys in fights we all watch because you know it can only end in a KO either way.Comment
