    Mayweather becoming a trainer.

Hard to believe anything Mayweather says... but I actually think he could be a good trainer. He certainly has the knowledge, wisdom and experience. Only problem could be his ego, I’m not sure he could put a fighters needs above his own.

His boxing IQ and and knowledge are undeniable.

It's just a matter of whether or not he has the right temperament and patience to mold fighters over a period of years.

Pretty much how I see it...

I always rated Roger as one of the best coaches so it would be great to see his teachings passed on to the next generation.

Agreed, nobody has a better boxing brain than Floyd imo.

The best boxers usually make crap trainers. Same as how top NBA players suck as coaches.

Floyd is obviously in the 1% when it comes to Boxing IQ.

I think the problem lies with him expecting fighters to gave his talent and be able to pull of what he could when the reality very few have that kind of talent and ability.

It tends to be why alot of top athletes fail as teachers.

A trainer, teacher, advisor, must have the ability get their points across on the fly and with clarity. They have to have some kind of leadership and Floyd isnt a leader type. He doesnt command respect.

Sure he himself has tons of boxing IQ but can he articulate and get those knowledges across?

I dont think floyd can be a good trainer.
