I've noticed this too. I don't know if it's insecurity or what but they're very reluctant to give credit to others yet will hype up the likes of Wilder and the Charlo's. You can see it now in the SMW division, quick to praise Benavidez and Plant while they seem to dismiss/underestimate Saunders and Smith. Also seem quick to accuse others of using PEDs from what I've seen. Obviously every nation has some natural bias but it kind of seems like they think "nobody can be good at stuff except Americans" whereas other nations will give the Americas their props. Obviously I'm not talking about all Americans, people are indivuals but there just seems to generally be an overall slightly arrogant, disrespectful attitude.

That's the result of believing they're "the greatest and most exceptional" nation in the world. Well, they actually are, just at all the wrong things.

Before the annihilation by Ruiz , Joshua was riding high and Tyson was out of the picture.Both he and Wilder seemed to be in competition to see who could get away with facing the least dangerous opponents.Since then Fury has taken back the mantle and both Joshua and Wilder have been emphatically KO'd ..All the talk thereafter makes sense to most , even if not to Joshua.

Least dangerous? AJ's been clearing out the top 10 and unifying for the last few years, he's not even at 25 fights yet. Only time he fought outside of top ten since wlad was when Pulev pulled out and Miller popped for PEDs.Takam and Ruiz were still top 20/word title challenger way better than anyone Wilder fought in the meantime except maybe the 39 year old Ortiz. The only active guy that could be considered more dangerous than AJ's opposition was Wilder himself and even then I doubt he was or would be on the same level as even the less active Wlad at 41.
