As a boxer, he's brilliant. As a person, he is cancer.
    AJ a proven racist too.

    Don't forget

Lennox Lewis is well respected over here. Americans don't respect you because they see the b---h in you. You're soft....

Its true, particularly American journalists who have a bias against British fighters, Lennox Lewis' achievements were often played down until after he retired, same thing with Naseem and even Calzaghe.

It’s probably true in a way that foreign fighters may not get the same respect, but let’s not act like our British journalists aren’t biased

Also you can earn more respect..

People look at things on the surface. Fury went into America, beat Wilder and took his belt. No problems making the fights and did what he said. Got robbed in the first fight and made sure it couldn’t happen the second time. That’s how you approach a rematch.

AJ spent a while flip flopping about only wanting the big fights in the UK, which he has said before. He finally fights in USA and get flattened by a guy that isn’t great, then wins a rematch in Saudi playing tag, which is fine, he did what he had to do but it hardly leaves a great statement.

I’m not knocking AJ’s achievements but it’s easier to see why Fury gets the respect recently and considered number 1.

Let's look at it this way. You see how Wilder got a lot of respect even after the first Fury fight until people were saying he was the hardest puncher of all time.

Now imagine if AJ was American. He's holder of 3 belts, he KOs Klitschko, the previous dominant HW. And with his nice boy image. Jesus, he'd be more golden boy than Oscar or SRL

I've noticed this too. I don't know if it's insecurity or what but they're very reluctant to give credit to others yet will hype up the likes of Wilder and the Charlo's. You can see it now in the SMW division, quick to praise Benavidez and Plant while they seem to dismiss/underestimate Saunders and Smith. Also seem quick to accuse others of using PEDs from what I've seen. Obviously every nation has some natural bias but it kind of seems like they think "nobody can be good at stuff except Americans" whereas other nations will give the Americas their props. Obviously I'm not talking about all Americans, people are indivuals but there just seems to generally be an overall slightly arrogant, disrespectful attitude.

The way you were stopped and what took place when the ref asked you to walk forward pretty much exposed a few things hence the major drop in respect from what existed before by the press. It has nothing to do with religion, country or skin tone. Lennox Lewis is the man!
