I hope canelo gives Bivol his shot soon... him and Benavidez vs canelo are the two fights I want the most for canelo.

I've been saying this for a while. If Bivol is WILLING or REALLY wants Canelo at 168, then why doesn't he offer Canelo a catchweight at 169-172?! lol This way Canelo can at least get Bivol's belt. We all know Duva and Hearn just parading headlines so they can all make a buck off Canelo and stir smoke away from Smith or BJS. I'll say again, what does Bivol offer Canelo at 168? Does Bivol relinquish his belt going to 168? Or is it just a one off while Bivol doesn't have a consequence should he lose to Canelo yet still keep his 175 strap? Bivol is not even P4P. It's just a fake callout. What would the split be for Bivol? He doesn't sell gates...

With all that being said, I would rather Bivol vs Canelo be at the full 175. He looked poor against Castillo. With VADA deep, I bet Bivol looks even worse. Bank on it!

          That goes both ways brother
Why the fugh did Canelo drop that belt like it was a gun at a shooting
If he really wanted to take on Bivol or Beterbiev he wouldn’t have dropped his belt

Nah. Canelo is hated on and has the highest standard in boxing it doesn't matter what he does. You know this. There's no current fighter who's even DARING yo-yo weights from 160-175. Name a P4P fighter varying in 15lbs.

GBP are the ELITE. They don't bend over to TR or Matchroom or PBC.

He's gotta be one of the most sought after boxer in recent history...

I've even had to stop my Gran calling him out.

                Dude c’mon
He dropped that belt like an ol g gangster leaving the scene of a crime
Bivol going down to 168 is not a bad thing
If Canelo wanted him at 175 he would of kept the belt and stuck around
I think it’s a great fight for both

canelo is too small for 175, he will be fighting ggg at 160, thats all you need to know...
as far as i know bivol doesnt offer anything at 168, so if he is going to fight canelo at 168 he better start by getting a title there... now if the fight happens at 175 then he already has one, but like i said before, canelo is just too small for 175, simple as that... bivol is in a bad spot right now since he doesnt have a name big enough to atract canelo at 175 and he doesnt even has a title to offer at 168...
that being said, that should be one damn good fight regardless of the weight...

Nah. Who did Floyd fight at 154 holding the 147 simultaneously for 2 years? Them mandos doe. A sides do this. It's a working relationship with what the networks approve. It's not even complicated, Hearn lives and breaths around Canelo because of DAZN's conflicts of interest and client rivalry with GBP.

This is the same shet as Chad Dawson going down for Ward. Any fight from 169-175 is LHW. Why doesn't Bivol offer a catchweight of 172 for his strap if he's willing to go to 168? It doesn't make any sense. That's not Bivol talking, that's his management fulfilling proxy and rumors for DAZN matchmaking noise, gossip. Bivol imo would offer Canelo a catchweight. He's being advised not to. However, I think Canelo can hold his own at 175 now. He'd be a SMALL LHW, but his ring IQ and precision and power can easily stand with those guys.

Remember, EU fighters hate getting hit to the body. Gvozdyk's reach worked against him on the inside, just looking sloppy. It's not about the offensive IQ that Gvozdyk lacked, it was the inside fighting that Beterbiev was too strong. For a guy like Beterbiev, you need shorter and stockier strength, a guy like Emperor Canelo to do the trick. I'd say Canelo's biggest test would be taking Beterbiev's clinching shots. That's where Canelo needs to worry imo.

Bivol looks very thin at the waist. Sure he's fluid and got a nice workrate, but powershots from Canelo to his body will put him to the test. Lenin Castillo ain't no Canelo Alvarez.
