Boxing fans have an almost child-like mind about real fighting. It's adorable. Here's a few more examples.
LOL so Tyson is an expert kickboxer now?
Nope. He's just a puncher. With zero grappling.
Now he's some kung fu master with eye gouges and muay Thai level elbow strikes.
Early MMA had open rules, which means they could do that stuff. And guess what, 9 out of 10 times it never deterred a guy from completing a takedown.
That was a 45 year old Randy Couture who shot down and no pure boxer on the planet could stop that. I would even put my money on a 65 year old Couture to pull it off, and I stand by a teenage wrestler slamming a boxer on the concrete in the streets.
Boxers are trained to box in boxing range. They have no answer for somebody diving for their legs. They can't even stop a boxer from running towards them and clinching them.
Have you ever noticed that when they get an opponent hurt they still can't pull off a KO because they got clinched or it's even the reason that it doesn't end up with a KO?
Because Boxers can't stop a grapple. They're limited punchers, not fighters.
