NOTHING! Lee Selby a actual former IBF featherweight world champion, campaigning for his second world title in his second weight-class for a world championship, should of got the push from the WBC.

Campbell has only fought at 135 and failed twice at capturing the WBC lightweight title, and likely to lose it a third time if Javier Fortuna has anything to say about it.

Ironically, Lee Selby is signed with Matchroom ; no doubt Selby is rolling with the plan as he will likely get in-house fight with Campbell or eventually get another crack at the WBC green belt as he is currently ranked by the World Boxing Council, Eddie would like that.

Didnt Lomo vacate the belt for the franchise belt. The way I see it is he's the WBC trinket holder until he fights Haney even though i think Lomo beats him. This franchise crap is just that a big steamy pile on our sport.

Haney wanted to fight Lomachenko and was his mandatory. But obviously Bob Arum wanted no part of that hence he requested the Franchise Champion designation.

Campbell was #1 WBC. Lopez was #2 but before becoming #2 he agreed to fight for IBF belt. Haney was #3 at the time of Loma vs Campbell and Haney fought #4 for the belt. Where was Fortuna? #5? LOL.

Campbell vs Haney is the true fight for WBC... unless Lopez/Loma decide to fight for it again.

I understand that but isn't up to the fighter to accept it?

I understand the rankings but it’s ****** considering Luke just lost.

I don't mind Haney's request, seeing how the virus has everybody on hold. By the time this is over, everybody will have some ring rust. Campbell can get another shot, but how mediocre does a champ have to be in order for him to win?

If local isolation restrictions are lifted months before international ones then this makes sense. Provided there's no rematch clause and Cambell gets 1st crack at the winner

                    Refreshing news article.

I agree with Devin Haney here, this is the most respectable option.

Afraid Campbell soup lasted 12 rounds w/ the great Lomachenko & doesn't want the smoke! Ryan Garcia would school that blasphemous 5h1tbag!
