He didnt do so bad overall. He was gun shy against Wlad but I can't remember Wlad landing too much himself apart from doing his jab jab and grab routine.

Broken toe haye was a bum. Talked a lot of **** against Wlad and got his ass kicked. Kind of like Wilder against Fury. Also Holyfield did more against Valuev than Haye and Haye pulled out of Fury fights.

Oh you mean Wladimir Klitschko's best win? Yeah he was pretty good.

To be fair, Haye tried to bring a bit more excitement to a very very dull division at the time. He talked and had little stunts like decapitated klitschko head shirts etc.

Never really worked out too well but he tried to make it a bit exciting

              The division was awful then

People need to understand just how bad the division was back then

It wasn't wlads fault but most of his opponents couldn't even be bothered to get into shape for their title shot.

Haye was a very good Cruiserweight going up against an atg super heavyweight, looking back it was obvious how it would play out

I remember Heavyweight boxing was virtually non existent before Haye moved up in weight.
Those Klitschko fights were awful! No one was tuning in and the division was in desperate need of an exciting champion with a little bit of charisma.
David Haye was perfect for the role, he just fell short when he finally got the opportunity
