    Votes Back Kirk Johnson To Overturn Loss

    The press in Canada has reported that after heavyweight Kirk Johnson met with the California State Athletic Commission to appeal his March 3 loss to Javier Mora, the program’s advisory committee has voted nearly unanimously to overturn the defeat.               Because this was not about overturning judges' overall desicion over a fight but more about circumstances pertaining to the condition of the ring. The corner was wet and slippery and nothing was done about it. Refs have to call time out to clean up the mess since this could be dangerous to all three people in the ring and could alter or interfere with the fight.

              In this case, it caused an injury not by the opponent but by the water on the canvas.

                Im still surprised they overturned it!Similiar situations happen all the time.But they usually don't do a thing.

                  It's been done before. I think it happened in one of Camacho Jr's fight where thre result was turned into a ND or No Contest.
