No I didn't miss the point. He took the fight for the money is my point. I just assumed everyone knows Kovalev didn't cut weight so I didn't bother mentioning it. Since you brought up Lalonde I just wanted to point out the shortcomings of weight cuts for mature fighters. You might be overly sensitive because of the weight restriction Canelo forced on Kovalev and feel you have to defend him. That's not the same as a catchweight. All that contact clause was meant to do was restrict Kovalev fighting at his normal rehydrated weight.
Why is GGG immune to criticism because of his age?

His original point was that canelo took the opportunity to pick the weakest belt holder to make his foray into the lhw division...much like he did at 168. What does that have to do with the overall title landscape at 175? Canelo vacating the belt right away proves he had no intention of becoming the real champion at 175...he just wanted to pick up a trinket. You deny facts, and you dodged the point. What would've been the point for Bivol, Gvozdyk or Beterbiev to fight Kovalev? The answer is unification and boxing?!
You're just trying to discredit Canelo while fumbling on your own agenda.
LMAO. You proved my point on the deflection as well, Canelo own GGG diehards. The debate is about criticism for GGG. Are LHW debates a remedy to sway away from GGG debates?
