  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Fury-Joshua Possible if Wilder Takes Step-Aside Deal

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, would still love to finalize a deal for a unification with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury for the fall. Hearn had targeted that contest for the month of December, but that plan was seriously affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

This is perfect for Wilder. Step aside money plus the chance to have a warm up fight or two. He has to be low on confidence at the moment after the sustained beating he took. Maybe they can also promise him a go at the winner too.

And Pulev and Usyk and by then probably Whyte. Not happening anytime soon, especially with COVID-19 shutting down the sport. Fury-Joshua is like a 2022 fight.

What is Hearn on? Wilder will never step-aside. ****** thing to say

It would be better if Fury fought Joshua and Wilder finally fought Whyte and then the winners faced each other after that. But not going to happen

I really is. He should go let the Fury v AJ fight go through, KO Whyte in the interim, then fight for all the marbles next Fall. All of this happens after he gets a new training team, of course. He cannot beat Fury with that same dismal team.

wilder cant afford to step aside...if he waits he potentially freezes himself out for whats left of the better part of his career

if he lets AJ/fury fight next it could leave him out in the cold for another year and a half.....wilder and his team know this....which is why they are taking the rematch asap.....hes 34

So Whyte finally gets his shot at Wilder but theres no title after 900+ days as his mandatory? Why would Whyte take that?

Way to get him to step aside is to offer him the money and the promise of fighting the winner. Rematch galore clauses will most likely stop all that though won't it Eddie?

Fury v wilder trilogy is boring the **** outta me and one I'll be giving a wide berth.

I'm not that interested in Fury v AJ but at least we can get the crap outta way and stop the hype of all 3

Why would wilder step aside. Makes zero sense.
