  • Comments Thread For: Foreman: Give Wilder Another Chance - He Can Beat Fury Easily!

Former two time heavyweight champion George Foreman revealed that he counseled Deontay Wilder in the aftermath of his technical knockout loss to Tyson Fury back in February at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Wilder was dropped twice and stopped in the seventh round, after his corner threw in the towel.

I have respect for Foreman but I can't seeing him beat Fury "easily".

He had 24 rounds to beat Fury, and couldn't make it past 19. Unless Wilder suddenly learns how to box, Fury whoops his ass again.

I can like George but he can really wear me out. I think he loves to say whatever is contradictory. It’s obviously not easy to KO Fury, cause he got planted by Wilder and got up. “Don’t hook with a hooker”, “Dont follow a puncher”, he loved to say. Corny comments with no substance behind them. Sure a puncher can knock u out as u chase him, but a puncher can always knock u out. Fury just walked down a puncher. A puncher coming forward and u backing up is probably much worse. Everyone has a hook. Yeah maybe u don’t want to trade hooks with a guy at the same time who has a better one than you, but u still have to throw ur punches. Its not like it’s planned or ever really been a strategy to hook when another guy hooks, it just sometimes happens. He’d never even say who is who in his description. He says stuff like everyone told me to stay away from Mike Tyson. Anyone in his circle would have wanted him to fight mike for the payday and told him he could win. He’d always have a better chance to beat mike than evander. I just think he knows to say whatever will get the most publicity, so I can’t blame him, but hard to take him seriously.

How many chances does he need? Third time lucky? Doubt it. I just hope the Wildettes find somebody more worthy of their deluded obsessions once Fury retires the spastic.

Well George is a man of faith. I would say misplaced faith now in Wilder though

I wouldn't say easily beat him but it's possible he will beat him the next time round if Wilder can clear his head and train properly.

The heavyweight scene has been pretty poor for a decade, so seeing them all beat each other on several occasions would be no surprise...

Wilder only needs to make a few adjustments and he'll be firing off a lot more right hands and connecting with them when it counts. I agree with George, I believe the boxing world will be stunned once again, except this time Wilder will get revenge.
