    Let’s be realistic
Dana White ain’t my cup of tea , far from it , but the Bobfather is sounding a little jealous here
He was going to do the same chit , hold fights at the UFC studios , or rumour had it that’s where he wanted to stage the Beterbiev/Fanlong fight , of course behind closed doors
Sounds like the Bobfather is pissed
People defending the Bobfather must be newbies cause the Bobfather would of jumped on that occasion
He knows all eyes will be on this sporting event
So do you think the Bobfather is telling the truth
    I don’t think so

Arum's analysis may be right, but that doesn't make him right.

Most boxing fans who aren't neo-capitalist, free-market zealots, know that the best thing for boxing is a singular, unified, international authoritative governing body; not a Dana White, who is just a corporate monopolist posing as a governing body, serving his own interests whilst masquerading as a Czar - to use a term Teddy Atlas uses.

I doubt White has the clout to buy out all the big promoters, all the fighters contracts, and then he has to somehow either unify or destroy the numerous 'sanctioning bodies'.

Few people on this earth sadly have the time and money to complete such an impossible task.

"How can he promote boxers at the wages they get and not bury the ufc fighters at the same time?"

That's a good question. If he tries to pay boxers more than ufc guys, ucf fighters are certainly going to revolt and demand equality.

Arum raises a pertinent point; why is professional MMA not subject to the same regulations, i.e. Ali Act, as professional boxing?

Crazy I literally just said a few posts back on another thread the UFC is a monopoly and once again Bob has the same view haha btw I think Bob Arum is a prick but he's spot on and at least he made his fighters money and built their careers.

White boxers will want to jump ship when they see the money in other promotions/tv networks

Indeed. Dana trying his go at boxing makes no sense whatsoever.

Boxing will survive, and out live most sports because it has no central governing body/nucleus 'This all inclusive business model, makes the sport almost omnipresent' I disagree with the people who THINK boxing needs to be run just like the UFC etc

If Arum could be a monopolist he absolutely would. He already makes as many in-house fights as he can get away with.
