I mean there are a few who I think aren’t HOF worthy in terms of accomplishments but a lot of those guys are extremely memorable like Gatti for instance. Froch never had a classic rivalry like Gatti-Ward to get him in that way.

Good fighter but he doesn’t make the cut IMO.

Gatti is NOT a genuine great

a memorable rivalry is not a criteria for HOF or for greatness... it just helps... IF the opponent is notable

Greatness comes in different forms. He gave us one of the greatest fights and series of fights against Ward. Combine that with two world titles at two different weight classes then you can make a solid case he deserves to be in the HOF. Although if it was up to me I might not agree that he actually makes the cut.

Is Gatti the only example you can think of?

Last year Julian Jackson got in are you honestly going to say Froch isn't at that standard.

no it does not, it comes in 1 form only...

WHO did you beat, with consideration given to when/how... nothing else matters

we do this EVERY month whenever the P4P list is updated LMAO

and body-of-work should not be criteria... just names

            e.g.

I do not want to hear that you trekked around the world for longer than you should have... tell me the name of the mountain you climbed, or STFU... lots of people wander around the world throwing punches

Mayweather... fkn outstanding... best mix of technique/skillset EVER... never seen a harder fighter to beat... so good in fact, that I will even go further...

lets just talk welter for an example... Floyd could have beaten, or at least lived with, every welterweight in history... with NO exception, including my boy Leonard... I would favor him over ALL of them, every single one... simply because of that perfect textbook-style/skill package... but, is Mayweather greater than Leonard?

NO fkn way... not even close !

he did not climb Mt Hearns, Mt Duran, Mt Benitez, Mt Hagler

The HOF is about a contribution to the sport. It’s not just about resume. Hence why Gatti is in there whether we agree with it or not. That may be your individual criteria which is a more than valid but it is not the criteria or the IBHOF for example.

Any other examples of fighters who you feel were not great but still got in the HOF?

By your own criteria who do you consider Froch beat to get in? Groves? Bute? Pascal? He doesn’t have a great win.

hold on... you said it was about greatness... ?

like I said... the greats are very special, in a class of their own

I’m too sure that Julian Jackson should be in either tbh.

Compare his career to Froch though.

Better win? Jackson emphatically destroying Terry Norris.

Better accomplishments? Equal or arguably Jackson but very close. JJ was a 2 weight world champion, 3 time world champion compared to Froch who was a 3 time world champion. Both had 10 world title wins.

Longevity? Jackson fought at the top level for around 8 years, Froch for around 6 years.

Resume? Froch, more consistent in facing better opposition.

Looking at that they are pretty close. But you also have to remember that Jackson was an ATG puncher that makes him memorable, we all still watch that Herol Graham KO amongst other highlight reel KO’s to this day. He created a lasting impression and memory. I’m not sure Froch did.

Stop ducking my question bro. Provide examples to back up your point.

My definition of greatness is obviously a wider concept than your concept. You can have a great impact on the sport or make a great contribution to the sport but largely I would consider a HOF’er to be a great fighter.

bro, that is NOT the same thing... not even close

the HOF is not a dumpster... that you can fill with whatever you like

you made two claims... well, which one is it... ?
