Good fighter and good resume but the HOF is for GREAT fighters IMO.

I just don’t think he has a great win. Pascal was probably his best win. Kessler and Johnson were way past their prime, and he got a gift against Dirrell. The Groves fights were incredibly memorable and were huge over here but it wasn’t a great win. I never rated Bute either tbh, I bet big on Froch that night.

Then when he did step up against Ward he was completely outclassed at the top level.

He was exciting to watch and very good for British boxing but he’s not a HOF fighter IMO.
I have to disagree slightly on Kessler, he was past his peak but I didn't think he was washed up.
Dirrell was certainly debatable and while I see what you mean about Groves, he did go on to become consensus #1 in the division.

I think his run from Pascal, losses included, puts him in the Hall of Fame, especially if you consider aboutfkntime's point about criteria.

He also fought in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium but he doesn't like to talk about it much 😄.

Nah, I don't think so. Some british fans might think he gets in, but he never really did that much.

Yes he will get in. He would be at the bottom end end of fighters in it, but he did enough imo...I always describe him as the human truth machine in the ring, if you are wanting in any area he would eventually find and exploit it. He was an iron man with incredible, toughness, stamina, good power, and underrated smarts.

I think he is the epitome of what makes boxing unique and special, there are so many ways to do it, to be successful...a guy with limited skill and technique finds a formula. That is what I love about boxing.

I actually think he was one of very few fighters today who was harmed by the 12 round distance. He would have been a better fighter in the 15 round days.

but all of the greats will obviously be inducted

Froch is a HOF'er for sure

the greats are very special, in a class of their own
            Like who?

I mean there are a few who I think aren’t HOF worthy in terms of accomplishments but a lot of those guys are extremely memorable like Gatti for instance. Froch never had a classic rivalry like Gatti-Ward to get him in that way.

Good fighter but he doesn’t make the cut IMO.

Before Froch there were no good British fighter for a while. Froch won a lot of people over with his victories. His debut in the US started shaky when he got dropped by Taylor and then had a spectacular stoppage in the 12th.

Even losing to Ward he never stopped trying and was coming on at the end of the fight. The Kessler loss could had gone either way. Also he gave Pascal his first loss.

I think he is a sure HOF, at one point in time he had the best resume in boxing in top opponents faced.

I’m not sure what fighters he’s referring to tbh, there’s probably a few but if it’s a guy like Gatti for example, he had a much more memorable career than most guys.

I thought Kessler was done tbh, I don’t think he was ever the same after that injury, I remember a year before he fought Carl, Allan Green dropping him and he just looked a shell of what he was IMO. I always saw that Froch rematch as Kessler cashing out and giving Froch a win back.

I’m not totally against him being considered and I wouldn’t be complaining if he did make it, he was a good fighter with a good resume but I just never considered him elite and he’d just miss the cut IMO.

Needless to say, he proved me wrong.

I don't know if he would've beat Joe head to head, but he definitely turned out to be greater than Joe.
Do you actually think he was greater than Calzaghe???

Joe was a league above him IMO.

Absolutely... Froch took on more challenges and has the greater resume without a doubt.

Only difference is one retired undefeated, but who really cares about that

Hell yes. A future hall of famer for certain in my opinion.
