  • Is Carl Froch a HOF'er?

Personally, I think he is. Resume includes:

    Groves x2
    Kessler
    Bute
    Johnson
    Abraham
    Dirrel
    Taylor
    Pascal

He lauded for a fight with Calzaghe that could've happened, but Joe was on his way out and Carl was unproven at the time. What are your thoughts?

I may be in the minority but I think no.

Good fighter and good resume but the HOF is for GREAT fighters IMO.

I just don’t think he has a great win. Pascal was probably his best win. Kessler and Johnson were way past their prime, and he got a gift against Dirrell. The Groves fights were incredibly memorable and were huge over here but it wasn’t a great win. I never rated Bute either tbh, I bet big on Froch that night.

Then when he did step up against Ward he was completely outclassed at the top level.

He was exciting to watch and very good for British boxing but he’s not a HOF fighter IMO.

nah, the HOF is full of fighters who are not genuine greats

but all of the greats will obviously be inducted

Froch is a HOF'er for sure

the greats are very special, in a class of their own

He had a very good career and beat some tough solid fighters. I think he's going in.

Lol I can't lie. In his early career, Froch was a loud trash talker like Paulie M. I remember seeing his highlight before the Pascal fight and thinking "who the hell is this dude. He doesn't have a shot against Joe".

Needless to say, he proved me wrong.

I don't know if he would've beat Joe head to head, but he definitely turned out to be greater than Joe.

                    Definitely a modern British great.

Don't feel I can judge him any further because I look at it as a British boxing fan and in the context of all our media.
