How? He got stopped. If anything, he showed that movement alone isn't enough. He lost most of the rounds on all the scorecards, didn't do anything to keep Benavidez off of him the entire fight & eventually Benavidez got to him. Plant can move, but doesn't have the kind of power to keep Benavidez off him. It'll be the same story.

like I have been saying for a looooong time... Canelo/Benavidez is the best fight to make at 168, and one of the best fights on the table period

Benavidez to me is the strongest of all, he is all about the pressure but can be outboxed at times.

Plant is very slick, very good boxer but I think when he fights a relentless strong fighter he is gonna fold up, Benavidez beats Plant imho just based on styles.

BJS is the slickest of all on his best nights and the worst of all in his off nights, it all depends on disciplined he stays.

Smith is strong and boxes well but I don't see the dog in him.

All 4 solid champions but if you ask me imho Jacobs probably beats them all except for Benavidez, Daniel has fought the best comp out there and except for that Pirog fight he has never been blown out by anyone.

Everyone knows Benavidez is the real deal and the real king of 168! Plant is just a chump baby sitting a title scared of Benavidez.
