After what you did to Cotto, we were all hoping you'd take a career ending beating, and you did.

Margo took a beating when he beat Cotto. Everybody forgot that he was missing in action after the Mosley fight was announced. It took him a long time to recover, got caught trying to cheat and took another beating from the hard punching Mosley. The circus fight against Pac was another TR money grab. Margo has always been slow and took a beating with all those combinations that Pac was landing. Before that Pac threw like 1000 punches against Clottey. No surprise that he beat Margo the way he did.

For me that was Pacquaio’s most brutal prolonged beating he has ever dished out on an opponent.
And to do that at a 18lb weight disadvantage and 5 inches shorter is astounding.
Pacquaio put a hurting on that boy that night

I blame Robert Garcia so not stopping out. Tony is too proud to ask corner to stop it, trainer’s have to protect the fighter

When I saw GGG fight Brook, i thought of the same thing.

Prime Manny would've obliterated any version of GGG

I remember being on pins and needles the whole fight thinking Pac was gonna get knocked out cold. Margarito landed some hellacious shots on Pac especially when he occasionally had him trapped on the ropes . I don't think we've ever seen a guy with that much of a size, reach, and weight disadvantage dish out such a shellacking for an entire 12 round fight.

Pac was never the same after this fight though. The fight took him out of his prime for sure. It was definitely the last time I saw him throw 5-6 punch combinations over and over and over & Margarito was getting hit with all of them. He coulda called it a career after that & I don't think anyone wouldve batted an eye. Who woulda thought he'd be still kicking ass 10 years later.

2008-2010 Pac beats almost everyone if not literally everyone at 140-154 today. Bud gives him his toughest fight but I don't even think Bud could handle the output, speed & ferocity Pac was dishing out
