the reason everyone thinks ike won is becuase hbo started a contraversey

first i want to say the fight was close, but since when the hell does hbo not back their fighter...oh ok ,when they want to get rid of him.. its obvious theyre trying to get rid of forrest i dont know how many fights left are one his contract but i bet its quite a few. he even fought a fight on fox sports whcih was supposed to be and hbo date.. and ive come to the realization that i dont think the cast lampley and merchant mainly have any choice but to do as there told, maybe thats why lampley was in a bad mood becuase he is always praising forrest and calling him and Aplus fighter... who is ahead of them, ross greenburg , if so hes the man to blame.

I think it has more to do with Harold Lederman being a ****ing horrible judge. Ike should have won, but it was a damn close fight.

I used to love Lederman, but the dude is slipping these last couple years BIG TIME.

Jim Lampley is a biased guy.

He claimed Ike "obliterated" Verno Phillips. Right then and there you know he's going to have Ike winning against anyone.

Interesting point about the HBO contract, but that doesn't explain why I scored the fight 95-94 Quartey when my TV was on mute. 5 rounds - 4 with one even. I really don't see any way that you could scored 6 rounds for Forrest with 3 to Quartey and one even... and that is how one of the judges scored it.

It really wasn't as bad a call as i've seen before... i've seen much worse and regardless of how you saw the fight, bottomline is that it was close all the way through.. if you leave it to 3 human judges, who are all, like everyone else, opinionated in one way or another as far as how a fighter wins a fight, you can't be expecting (or assuming) anything..

I thought Ike won because it was clear he won more rounds.

I've seen worse decisions, but I think the MOST someone could have Forrest winning is 5 rounds and with the point lost it was a clear win for Ike.

Being at the fight and judging it at ringside is a lot different then watching it on TV. Maybe Lampley and co, plus the judges saw things that we didn't and scored accordingly.

harold letterman does suck. when judging close fights he always gives it to the agressor if hes effective or not

I don't listen to them that much the first time i watch a fight just on the replay and I really felt that Ike was in control of the fight in the 2nd half. so I feel that he won the fight .
