That’s a weak excuse, his own team already debunked that excuse, not only that but Ortiz himself released a statement AFTER Joshua/Miller was signed/sealed and delivered that “if ever there was a reason that makes Miller pulls out, that he (Ortiz) would be ready to replace Miller and fight Joshua”.... So the excuses that he didn’t have enough time (6 weeks), was weak as F.

Show me a link... cause his team said they didn’t feel comfortable with the time frame and like I said Whyte did the exact same....so it is what it is

Granted they are in much better shape than most people younger than them but they just can't compete for a whole 12 rounds against younger above average fighters. Seriously, if Ortiz was wilders age he probably beats him the first fight and didn't tire out.
Povetkin, pulev and so forth are at the end of their career and we have to keep watching these recycled fighters fight AJ, wilder, whyte... Were the F is the youth in this division??? Sure ok Dubois looks promising but hes not exciting. Just a big guy who's knocking out scrubs. Usyk is on his way to the back end if his career. Hes what 34?
Not enough great fighters in the division and they keep dragging out garbage fights that most care nothing about. We should have the tops of the tops fighting each other already.
Sure, do the wilder vs fury 3. Usyk and whyte should be fighting or whyte and ruiz. AJ vs usyk. Fury vs AJ. Wilder vs whyte. Wilder vs usyk. Throw Dubois in this mix if you want. These are the combos i want to see. Not a AJ continuing to fight 38+ year old fighters.
Meanwhile, as you casuals blabber away endlessly... Ortiz is still a heavily avoided fighter, and is in fact top 10-15 range. He's a man trying to feed his family... that is... if that's ok with YOU. If the sport bores you so much, maybe you should switch to pro tennis... or go watch 'nascoor' videos on YouTube. SMDH

Ruiz is like most top HWs... avoiding Ortiz at all costs. Gee... must be a reason. Maybe it's the high risk factor? Y'think? IMO fatty Ruiz would get overpowered by the better boxer in Ortiz... and would likely get stopped by the late rounds.

This is the problem with the US nowadays. Young people are so uneducated and lacking in intelligence that they think anything they agree with is a "fact". Go look up the word fact and get back to me.

Mannnn STFU... If i say Facts in response to what somebody said. Thats how i feel.

I wasn't even talking to you.....

Don't come out the woodwork whining about my response.

Look at this cuckboy lol. Boo hoo he's just trying to feed his family. If he cant feed his family for the rest of his life with the last two fights he's had then he's a dumb **** who cant manage his money.

Who has he beaten? No one wants to fight him. He's sooo great. Why cause wilder knocked out his old ass twice?

              Go lay down...

Of course he's not fighting top level competition but he's in his early twenties. If you knew much about boxing, in particular the heavyweight division, you'd acknowledge that Dubois is just a kid and it would be ****** to throw him to the lions just yet. He's still scheduled to face Joyce yet which is a huge step up in class. It's still yet to be seen how Dubois fares against the elite of the division but how he does against Joyce would be a good indicator of that.
What the hell do you want? Dubois vs AJ or Fury right now? FFS.
You're right with Dubois. I just like to be melodramatic with these forums sometimes and get a rise or reaction out of people... Oh the hate mail replies 😆

I guess I'm just impatient wanting to see best fight the best and pushing the youth like Dubois to fight real contenders. I know its their careers and some need to take on certain opponents at certain times. I've been watching boxing for 35 years and have watched and rewatched this sport going back a century. Seen plenty live and have major respect for the professionals. I don't claim to be an expert but when you've seen so many great era's then have to watch the past decades, this era to me is just dragging their ass for the true fights that may never happen, the essence be ruined by waiting and the take a loss or the fight be to late and out dated like may and pac and so forth.

Joyce and dubois is a goid fight. Hey man sink or swim. What does ever fighter need 30 or 40 bum fights before they fight top level and we "see what type of indicator" of a boxer we are looking at? Lol waste of time. Yes! If people want to defend the old fighters here, the youth does not get a pass just because we have to wait for them to fight 30 bums before fighting equal so called talent. Don't say you're great and continue to fight below talent..

                Just my opinion

you guys are savages here 😆

Leave the poor old man and his high blood pressure pills alone lol

What have we come to in the heavy weight division??? It's so pathetic. Excuses, cheating, crying, ducking, blah blah blah...

Christ man. If its not ruiz saying oh i was lazy and got caught up in the moment and had no discipline. Ortiz saying my high blood pressure pills or they gave wilder more time to recover. Wilder saying his suit was too heavy which caused him to lose the fight. AJ saying there were issues that caused him to lose against ruiz that he wont say until he retires and that he was thinking about wilder. Whyte crying he aint getting a shot but ducks his mandatory and fails his drug test. I can keep going and going with these fighters... Never heard so much crying and excuses in professional boxing ever...

Show you a link? It’s everywhere. Just do the research my man. No one is here making that same excuse for Whyte doe. But some are still here trying to make excuses for Ortiz even though his trainer came out and said they are ok with the time and he was training the whole time. Their excuse was the promoter phucked it up, Ortiz himself claimed he would come in for Miller. So that time thing shouldn’t be an excuse, not for a fighter like Ortiz and not for 7m dollars anyways.
