Granted they are in much better shape than most people younger than them but they just can't compete for a whole 12 rounds against younger above average fighters. Seriously, if Ortiz was wilders age he probably beats him the first fight and didn't tire out.

Povetkin, pulev and so forth are at the end of their career and we have to keep watching these recycled fighters fight AJ, wilder, whyte... Were the F is the youth in this division??? Sure ok Dubois looks promising but hes not exciting. Just a big guy who's knocking out scrubs. Usyk is on his way to the back end if his career. Hes what 34?

Not enough great fighters in the division and they keep dragging out garbage fights that most care nothing about. We should have the tops of the tops fighting each other already.

Sure, do the wilder vs fury 3. Usyk and whyte should be fighting or whyte and ruiz. AJ vs usyk. Fury vs AJ. Wilder vs whyte. Wilder vs usyk. Throw Dubois in this mix if you want. These are the combos i want to see. Not a AJ continuing to fight 38+ year old fighters.
I agree with some of your sentiment here but how is Dubois not exciting? You're talking about getting more youth in the division and Dubois is a young man on the rise. Of course he's not fighting top level competition but he's in his early twenties. If you knew much about boxing, in particular the heavyweight division, you'd acknowledge that Dubois is just a kid and it would be ****** to throw him to the lions just yet. He's still scheduled to face Joyce yet which is a huge step up in class. It's still yet to be seen how Dubois fares against the elite of the division but how he does against Joyce would be a good indicator of that.
What the hell do you want? Dubois vs AJ or Fury right now? FFS.

Ortiz isn't a hypejob. Hes a decent fighter who looks "great" to some people because hes in a **** era of heavyweights.
Hes a 50 year old who has high blood pressure and takes ped's.
No worse than the Marciano era of heavyweights or the Klitschko era of heavyweights. I would actually argue that there is more competition, especially compared to the Klitschko era.

I understand those in line for mandatories passing on him, honestly. No sweat there. But who else will Ruiz, Parker, or Kownacki fight to prove they are still top level?

Ortiz will bring it. This sport supports his kid's medical bills. He is fighting for all the right reasons. Maybe some of these other boxers just do not have that kind of real motivation.
I hear what you're saying but Kownacki was never top level. When did he ever prove that?

What facts??? It's an opinion that you happen to agree with. Do you know the difference or are you dumb as a rock?

This is the problem with the US nowadays. Young people are so uneducated and lacking in intelligence that they think anything they agree with is a "fact". Go look up the word fact and get back to me.

                What has Ortiz actually achieved?

The most notable things the man has done in the last few years are:

                lose to Wilder twice
turn down an offer to fight at MSG for three belts and millions and millions of dollars

                These are not achievements.
Still likely much, much more than you've ever achieved in your life, especially for a man who in reality is closer to 50 than 40.

Ortiz didn’t feel like he’d have enough time for a full camp...same reason Whyte turned it down.

Ruiz had fought recently so he was already in “shape” it was a easy turn around

Would like to see Ruiz v Ortiz or Whyte, but only when Ruiz is ready. Ortiz needs to get on his manager and promoters backs. They have done little to help his career progression and now he sound even more desperate. You have others who are fighting each other and putting their names out there, and then you have Ortiz who fights no one of note apart from the Wilder fights.

Get your team to mix it up, all the names that you mentioned now have fights. Get Martin, Washington, Breazeale etc and offer them good money, I mean he doesn’t have anyone of this new generation on his resume, get Parker, Rivas etc. After ducking the AJ fight I really hope he gets his team to sit up and get him his paydays.
